1. What is a Cookie?
Cookies are small text files that are stored in a computer’s browser directory. They help site providers with things like understanding how people use a site, remembering a User’s login details, and storing site preferences.
3. Who sets cookies when I use MTT Audio's Site?
There are two main types of cookies that can be set. First party cookies: these cookies are placed and read by MTT Audio directly when you use our Services. Third party cookies: these cookies are not set by MTT Audio, but by Stripe to handle payments. See further details below on how to manage these cookies.
MTT Audio stores a session cookie to remember your login state across the site, and an anti-CSRF cookie to protect you from malicious agents trying to submit web requests on your behalf. For processing payments MTT Audio relies on Stripe so third party cookies by Stripe are also stored.
First party cookies
|session||This cookie identifies the user's session. It is also used to authenticate logged-in users||7 days|
|csrf_token||Cross-site request forgery protection. It is used for all forms||Session|
Third party cookies
|__stripe_mid||Fraud prevention and detection, part of stripe.js||1 year|
|__stripe_sid||Fraud prevention and detection, part of stripe.js||30 mins|
5. Can I opt-out?
You can opt out of third party cookies from Stripe, but you cannot opt out of first party cookies from MTT Audio as those ensure the basic functioning of the website.
